Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Budget Champ Pro iPhone and iPad application (“the App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. The Developer

Budget Champ Pro is published by Logan Lindgren, an individual developer (“Developer,” “we,” “our,” “us”). Contact: leadchamp1@outlook.com.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Budget Champ Pro on iOS devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Sublicense, sell, rent, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Use the App in any way that violates U.S. or international law

3. The App is provided “as is”

Budget Champ Pro is provided to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be free from bugs or errors
• The App will be available without interruption
• Notifications will fire on a specific schedule (iOS controls notification delivery, not us)
• The Pro camera-scan feature will correctly identify any specific bill
• Any data displayed in the App is accurate or up to date

You are solely responsible for paying your bills on time. Budget Champ Pro is a reminder tool, not a payment processor or financial guarantor. We strongly recommend you do not rely on Budget Champ Pro as your only system for tracking financial obligations.

4. No financial advice

Budget Champ Pro is not a licensed financial advisor, lender, accountant, or tax professional. Nothing displayed in the App should be construed as financial advice. The App’s totals, projections, and category summaries are for your personal organization only and are not tax records.

5. Pro subscription

5.1 What Pro unlocks

Budget Champ Pro unlocks the camera bill-scanning feature and may include additional features added over time. Free features remain free.

5.2 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple’s standard subscription terms apply, including:

• Auto-renewal at the end of each subscription period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before
• Pricing as displayed at purchase time
• Payment charged to your iTunes/Apple ID account

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The Developer cannot cancel your subscription on your behalf — Apple is the merchant of record.

5.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under their refund policy. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund. The Developer does not have access to your payment information and cannot issue refunds.

6. Camera scan accuracy

The Pro camera-scan feature uses third-party AI (Anthropic’s API) to extract bill information from photos you take. The result is a best-effort interpretation, not a verified transcription.

Always verify the extracted amount and due date against the original bill before relying on it. The Developer is not liable for any missed payment, late fee, overdraft, credit-score impact, or other consequence resulting from inaccurate scan results.

7. Your data

Your bill data lives on your device. We do not store it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

You are responsible for:

• Backing up your device (iCloud backup or local backup) if you want a copy of your bill data outside the App
• Keeping your device passcode/biometric secure to protect access to the App

If you uninstall the App or your device is lost, your bill data is gone and we cannot recover it.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Budget Champ Pro to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Track another person’s financial information without their consent
• Submit photos to the camera scan feature that contain any third party’s private information without consent
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the App or any third-party service it depends on (including Anthropic’s API)

9. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms:

• Apple App Store and In-App Purchase — see Apple’s Media Services Terms
• Anthropic API (Pro feature only) — see https://www.anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms
• RevenueCat (subscription management) — see https://www.revenuecat.com/terms

By using Budget Champ Pro, you also agree to comply with the terms of these third-party services where applicable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to the Developer for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) twenty U.S. dollars ($20.00).

The Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost income, lost data, or missed payments.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In those jurisdictions, the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted by local law.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect the revision. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms. For material changes, we will flag the change inside the App on next launch.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which the Developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the Developer’s state of residence, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any portion of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force and effect. Nothing in these terms limits any right you may have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.
